Adrenaline Rush

The Capes Book 2

I love this series and the comic book feel to the characters, even though Ace doesn’t like being

compared to a comic book hero. Crushes, dreams, reality and betrayal all come together to cook up a delightful story. Ace, his brothers and their employees all have super powers. Alice just knows how to make mouthwatering meals. As characters, Ace and Alice are great. They have depth and personality.

Each has family issues thought their families are vastly different. I loved this story. It has action,

adventure, humor and love. This story is multidimensional and each layer is awesome. Surprises pop up when you don’t expect them which makes this story even better. I really love this series and this second book is just as good as the first. (No, you don’t have to read the first one to read this one.) This story is one of the most original stories I have read in a while and if you want something a bit different, pick this book up.

The Story: Alice is doing what she always does, cooking on her tv show live. And, while Alice is doing what she always does, her appliances aren’t. Suddenly she’s being attacked by a toaster! What is going on? Ace would never admit to anyone but he has fantasies about Alice during her show. She’s also able to save her from her rogue toaster without even having to leave his house but why would he do that? He can’t wait to meet the woman he just saved! Will she be the woman of his dreams?

Book Blurb for Adrenaline Rush

Ace Hudson has worked for his brother, Draco, at Powers, Inc. since it opened. Spending his days trying to balance his job with taking care of his teenage brother, Lael, he uses his nights to overcome the overabundance of adrenaline in his body that makes him lose control. He also happens to have a secret crush on a celebrity chef who makes home-cooked meals look sexier than they have a right to be.

Alice Styles runs an empire based on her ability to make people want to eat what she cooks. When she’s nearly killed on live television in a situation straight out of one of her childhood nightmares, she reluctantly asks Ace Hudson to help keep her safe.

Starting out with instant dislike and finding their way to mutual pleasure, Ace and Alice do not have an easy path to love. But their egos and personal barriers are nothing compared to the looming threat just waiting for a moment to possess Alice.
