Whether you’ve read the first book in this series or not, this short story is so absolutely funny that you need to read it. (You’ll want the first book after you do if you haven’t already read it!) Ghostly characters enliven the story as Verity works on solving a mystery. This is a short story but it’s full of everything you need. There is a touch of romance that spans decades. Friends and family also make appearances. It may say young adult but take it from me, if you like mysteries with humor, you’ll love this series and this short story.
Verity doesn’t want to see ghosts but she does, as long as Frankie, a dead gangster, is around. When a friend needs help figuring out why things keep moving in her shop, she asks Verity if there are ghosts in it. Of course there are! Now, to figure out why!
