Up In Smoke is the continuation of the Silver Dragon's Novels. May Northcott is Gabriel's mate, but they have not been spending lots of dragon loving hours together. Nope, she has been spending lots of time down in Abaddon and is on the way to becoming a Demon Lord consort. Gabriel has been trying to get her out and succeeds, but then he tells her to become Magoth's consort...Hu. Yes you did hear me say he tells her to basically marry another man. What's up with Gabriel? What type of dragon would let his mate go to another man? Who is the mysterious man who has been following May in the shadow realm? He makes her scared and she feels he is evil. Oh, and why has Fiat Blu turned so sinister? Will May forever be a Demon Lord consort or will she take her place as a dragon's mate?
Up In Smoke was a nice continuation of the Silver Dragon's novels. You will want to read the Aisling Gray Guardian Novels prior to this book and the first Silver Dragon book. You will get the most laughs and references if you read the prior books.
You will have a chance to meet up with Aisling again. Oh Yes, Aisling and Drake have a baby on the way. Overall , I've enjoyed the Silver Dragon books, but not as much as the Aisling series. It's just so hard to out do a hunk like Drake. He was the epitome of head dragon and Gabriel just has not lived up to my strong male needs. I would like to see Gabriel as a stronger character. :) Put some fire into him - Make him burn. I also wanted to see more spicy scenes and even some dream scenes. So, all in all. It was good, but I wanted more...More dragon fire please!
Though May Northcott's heart belongs to Gabriel Tauhou, leader of the silver dragons, being stuck in Abaddon has significantly cooled down her love life--especially since a demon lord is trying to woo her. So far, May has resisted his efforts, but it's getting increasingly harder to thwart disaster.
So May is shocked when Gabriel encourages her to give in to the demon prince. But her fire-breathing boyfriend has an ulterior motive. Since May was created in the mortal world, her surrender would give her master access to that world, where he would lose most of his powers.
It looks as though May will have to barter to gain her freedom and fulfill her destiny by Gabriel's side. But will a deal with the devil make life heaven or hell?
