Stella Jordan, a romance/horror book writer, is at that point in her life where work is about all that she does. She is looking for something to pull her out of the rut and to make her life special. She is in her 40's and if she doesn't do something soon, she might never find peace with herself. The question is how far will she go to spice up her life?
On Halloween night, Stella is having a book signing and meets a mysterious man who is pretending to be a vampire. He introduces himself as Lucian and invites Stella out for some coffee. On a whim, Stella takes him up on his offer and the evening turns into a lot more than coffee. Lucian invites Stella to come visit him for a weekend in Chicago. When Stella accepts she understands that the weekend will be quite different from anything she has ever experienced. Lucian is going to introduce her to the dark side of her passions. What Stella doesn't expect is that Lucian is not the only one who will be involved in her "education".
The Research Project was a very steamy, super hot read that leaves you searching for more titles by Rhiannon Neeley. It's will take you through twists and turns trying to figure out if Lucian is a real vampire or if he is just into blood sport. I enjoyed that Ms. Neeley made the Stella into a desirable woman who was not in her 20's and how each encounter took me to a whole new level of sensual delights. This one is not for the faint of heart as I would give it a heat rating of "out of this world" and it goes beyond the traditional m/f relationship.
If you are a writer and have always wanted a very dark and sexy man of your own, this book will embody your whole fantasy.
When writer Sheila Jordan's agent told her she should get into the erotic romance market, Sheila almost laughed. It had been a long time since she'd had an experience that could be labeled `sensual', let alone `erotic'. She almost laughed until.Lucian Marino walked through the door.
Young, dark and slightly dangerous looking, Lucian was the embodiment of sensual. If Sheila wanted to write erotic romance, maybe she could do a bit of Research. Yes, a Research Project.that's exactly what the situation called for. And the perfect subject for her Research Project had just walked into her life.
