The Lady of the Storm

The Elven Lord's, Book 2

Enter Ms. Kennedy's lush, powerful and magical world for the second time in The Lady of the Storm. It all started in the Fire Lord's Lover and will continue with a third book. In this second title she now introduces us to a whole new cast of part fae characters set in the same realm. As always she transports the reader into a magical place that feels so real. I encourage readers to read this series in order.

In this tale you get two strong characters, Cecily and Giles. These two will enchant you.

Cecily has been hidden from her full fae father. If he finds her she will just become a useful product in his war. She's been hidden away in a small village for many years. With the use of magic the village is also hidden and the people protected. The fae came to England from their realm and took the country hostage. The people are now used like pawns in a chess match between the all-powerful fae. It's a game on a grand scale. Will the people of England ever be free again? Some are working to make that happen, but they have to do it secretly.

When Cecily's adoptive father leaves the village and doesn't return they know something is wrong. The spell surrounding the village fails and soldiers come. As they battle Cecily shows how powerful she is and Giles also comes to protect her. At first these two clash, but Giles knows he must protect her as that's his duty. But can duty and lust become more?

Cecily is now feared by the villagers even though she used her power to save as many as she could. Now she has to head onto a new life. Her destiny is calling. The question will it play out? This is just one play on the board. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next in The Lord of Illusion.

Ms. Kennedy is my go to author for fantasy romance and the The Elven Lord's series is a keeper!
