The Devil Inside

Morgan Kingsley, an exorcist, is called in to remove a demon from a young girl. The demon illegally possessed the girl while she was on vacation. Getting the demon to leave a host is a complicated business and quite often leaves the host brain dead. Once Morgan gets into a trance she can view auras. Humans are blue and demons blood red. Once a human has been possessed their aura looks red. To transfer hosts a demon must touch a person's skin. While exorcizing the girl Morgan's bare skin is touched, but something weird happens. The demon does not posses her.

Morgan keeps having very weird dreams and has been writing herself notes while sleepwalking. She keeps writing that she is already possessed and that's why the demon was not able to possess her.

Is Morgan possessed? Is she going nuts? Does her boyfriend love her or is he keeping an eye on her? Will Morgan be able to keep herself alive or will something sinister take her out? Who can Morgan trust, her brother, friends, or only herself?

This was another great paranormal book by Jenna Black. She sure is making a name for herself. Jenna weaves a new world and new concepts into every story she writes. You can always expect something new and innovative from her. This book was no exception. The characters in The Devil Inside were well developed and like the heroin I wanted to kick some butt. Morgan was a strong heroine who will have you cheering hear along.
