Coloring Flower Mandalas is one of my first adult coloring books to try. To get started I purchased a set of colored pencils and made them nice and sharp as the drawings in this book have many small areas. I also made sure to buy a good variety of colors. The drawings in this book were really pretty and inspiring.
After I started coloring I was hooked on the concept and headed to my local Powell’s Bookstore in Portland, OR to find more books in this style. There are lots of designs from flowers to steampunk, but I found “Coloring Flower Mandalas” to be top of the line compared too many of the other books I found.
I found that spending an hour in my local Starbucks, with a frap and coloring supplies, made for a really relaxing…but also bustling environment. After the first time I found myself going back again and again as it provided me an opportunity for relaxation. I was able to focus on my drawings and unwind a bit before having to tackle more work.
I highly recommend “Coloring Flower Mandalas” to anyone who just wants to have some fun and relax. Coloring isn’t just for kids anymore. This book has very complex drawings that you will end up wanting to display for the beautiful works that they are.
