When this book came in the mail I was thrilled to see all the cool LEGO sets that were used to showcase historical events and time periods.
The book also includes two detachable posters. The one at the front is of the Boston Tea Party and the one at the back is of the Apollo 11 Moon Landings.
Throughout this book we have images of the different blocks used to create different historical scenes, such as the blocks needed to create Michelangelo's paint palette for "The Creation of Adam" painting. Topic of the scenes range from the horrific Salem Witch Trials to the happy Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. The book mostly shies away from religious historical events such as the Birth of Jesus. But it does focus on suffragettes, the underground railroad, wars and medical advancements.
Overall I enjoyed the book. I must say that the expressions on some of the faces really bring the scenes alive. From horrified to happy the LEGO people showcase the passion and life of history. This book would be great for any LEGO or history buff.
