WIRED by Julie Garwood ties into current headlines. She's focused on whats on the newsstands with a very hot topic. The treatment is honest and at times unnerving, but is pure Garwood.

Wow – WIRED definitely feels like front page news. Whenever news is released about someone hacking into important files I always shake my head. Not that I don’t believe these programming genius’ can’t get in no matter how “secure” the network. It’s more that I wish these hackers would use these talents to help rather than hurt the very society they live in. Theft is theft. In WIRED we become well acquainted with this new type of theft – cyber.

Well Julie Garwood must have been thinking along the same lines so in WIRED her star character is a master hacker. But in a good way – well mostly. Fine line between good and bad. Allison Trent has always had a fascination with computers and coding is like a huge multidimensional puzzle that presents a classic challenge. And nothing challenges Allison more than programming code. In Allison’s mind her forays into hacking were innocent. Her reasons were noble and no one got hurt or adversely affected except some bad guys – AKA hackers with criminal intent. These guys had specific targets for their gaining control of industry software and as Allison knew the targets were very often people who were exceedingly vulnerable.

When Allison’s talents came to the attention of the FBI she absolutely refused their offer to work for them. Luckily – so far – Allison’s past indiscretions have not been detected and seem unnoticed by the government agency. But Allison does not believe in luck and so she is using supreme caution when in the presence of FBI agents Liam Scott and Alex Buchanan.

Alec is the person that realized Allison had the abilities the agency required and it helped that she was an outsider. Liam was just beginning to acknowledge that Allison was a valuable asset – but that wasn’t his biggest concern. Liam was quickly coming to terms with the possibility that Allison was more important than just an agency asset. Allison was becoming important to Liam. Rather shocking complication to say the least.

Allison’s personal life is a scary messy deal. The aunt and uncle who raised Allison and her sister Charlotte are a piece of work. Allison is ready to announce her independence but their reluctance to let her go is becoming harassing and threatening. This is where all of Liam’s training and instincts kick in. So while Allison is busy keeping her word to the FBI to find the person guilty of hacking into their files, Liam is keeping a vigil watching out for anyone looking to harm Allison. And unfortunately that list seems to be growing.

Be totally prepared to absolutely adore and fall in love with Allison Trent. Her attitude, intelligent, innocence, honestly, candid banter is what dreamy characters are made of. Julie Garwood scripted a wonderful tale in WIRED. Once you begin this page turner it is impossible to put down. The scenes with Allison and Liam are romantic comedy at its best. Looking for a good read make sure to put WIRED by Julie Garwood on your must have list. WIRED is slated to become another Julie Garwood best seller.

Book Blurb for Wired

A beautiful computer hacker and a bad-boy FBI agent must collaborate—in more ways than one—in the sizzling new novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Julie Garwood.

Allison Trent doesn’t look like a hacker. In fact, when she’s not in college working on her degree, she models on the side. But behind her gorgeous face is a brilliant mind for computers and her real love is writing—and hacking—code. Her dream is to write a new security program that could revolutionize the tech industry.

Hotshot FBI agent Liam Scott has a problem: a leak deep within his own department. He needs the skills of a top-notch hacker to work on a highly sensitive project: to secretly break into the FBI servers and find out who the traitor is. But he can’t use one of his own. He finds the perfect candidate in Allison. Only, there’s one problem—she wants nothing to do with his job and turns him down flat.

What Liam doesn’t know is that Allison is hiding secrets that she doesn’t want the FBI to uncover. But Liam will do nearly anything to persuade her to join his team, even break a few rules if that’s what it takes. A temptation that could put his job—and both of their futures—on the line...
