Some of the best romances have been penned by Catherine Anderson. When reviewing her booklist I was amazed at how many I’ve read and remember fondly. Every fan of Catherine Anderson can tell you their favorite, but that’s where I have a dilemma. Each title conjures up a fond memory and a big smile.
MULBERRY MOON is the third book in Catherine Anderson’s Mystic Creek series and is an absolutely joy.
I found myself laughing out loud while reading the creative dialog and situations that the two main characters find themselves. You can’t help but fall in love with Ben Sterling, a man who is very comfortable with his life as a rancher with one major exception. Dating has failed to produce the right woman. The woman who would be comfortable living on his ranch complete with mud, manure, horses, and dogs – well you get the picture. So far no luck so Ben is actually skeptical when he finds himself rather attracted to Sissy Bentley the new owner of the Cauldron eatery in Mystic Creek.
Sissy is a rare human being that likes every living creature – two or four legged – it seems. Sissy has truly improved the fare at the Cauldron along with her ability to make all her customers feel special. Sissy seems to have a good handle on the recipe needed to run a well-received delicious restaurant. But it’s all work and no play for this adorable caring pretty young woman who is deftly avoiding any connection with Ben.
Ben feels like he is the lone person on the receiving end of a cold shoulder but that’s not about to dissuade or stop him. In MULBERRY MOON we have a front seat to the Bill and Sissy show with the best, most outrageous supporting cast on four legs. Bill and Sissy are going to have to find the way together getting past Bill’s reluctance to fully commit and put his heart on the line – to Sissy conquering her fears about ever finding anyone to actually love her.
So if you are looking for a truly feel good uplifting tale about learning to love yourself and welcome possibilities – MULBERRY MOON fits the bill. As with all the other stories in the Mystic Creek series MULBERRY MOON is a fabulous welcome to the creative world of Catherine Anderson for her adoring fans and for newcomers. Welcome to Mystic Creek.
