Sleeping With Fear is an edgy suspense that will hold the reader with its intriguing plot and complicated romance that peaks into a chilling climactic ending.
Riley Crane is an FBI agent with a special unit of psychics and her expertise is with the occult. Her own psychic ability is clairvoyance. When she awakens one morning with blood on her hands and no memory of the past three weeks, she finds herself not knowing who she can trust because she also lost her psychic abilities. She knows she was sent to investigate dangerous occult practices but has no idea of what she found or how deadly it has become. Most shocking to her was the discovery that during those missing weeks she also found a lover named Ash, who even though her mind doesn't remember, her body definitely does.
You'll follow Riley as she put her faith in her feeling for Ash and tries to fill the holes in her memory. Instead of answers, she finds even more puzzling pieces in the plot that will keep you guessing until the very end.
The story characters are well thought out and creatively woven throughout several plot twist for a suspense filled read of page turning excitement. Kay Hooper has penned another great book that I recommend as spine chilling intrigue at its best.
