Crystalfire

The Demonslayers

Kate Douglas has written a tantalizing romance between an unlikely pair entwined in a perilous journey that crosses dimensions. Taron and Willow are great characters that pull you into a plot that branches out with secondary characters to bring about an exciting conclusion. CrystalFire is part of Kate Douglas’ Demonslayers series and although this one appears to be the conclusion of it, I found that I was thoroughly intrigued with the characters. I have not had the pleasure of reading the previous novels in this series but I plan to rectify this oversight very soon. As a fan of Ms. Douglas’ work, I have found many hours of enjoyment between the covers of her books and CrystalFire has captured me with the emotions and the world of the Demonslayers.

CrystalFire is a fascinating story of mystical beings tasked with protecting their world along with the human world from demons that want to rules over all realms. Lemurian warriors are gifted with sentient crystal swords and are sent out to hunt down the demons that have invaded the human world. Taron never considered himself a warrior but found that with the help of a former sprite named Willow, he is fated to fight a great battle over evil in hopes to save his and the human world. Willow has lived, died, and now finds herself reborn into human form. She has meet Taron before but now as a human woman, she has the opportunity to act on the emotions that burn inside her for Taron. Both are walking a path of the unknown with their heart and lives. Enjoy!
