Vampire Meg prowls the seedy streets and back alleys of Paris looking for her next victim. A vigilante, Meg only hunts the men who prey on vulnerable women. As she strolls, Meg spots a very lonely looking woman who seems out of place and out of sorts with the environment around her.
As Meg approaches Grace for some friendly chat and coffee, she is immediately drawn to the shy girl. Grace soon admits that her unhappiness stems from being dumped by her boyfriend for whom she came to Paris. Her boyfriend accused her of being boring and sexually inadequate. Meg is moved by Grace's plight and assures her that it's most likely the boyfriend's problem, not hers.
Meg soon begins to sense that Grace may be her soul mate. But Grace is straight-Meg is a Lesbian. Meg endeavors to introduce Grace to a brand new life. Can she admit to Grace what she really is?
Bite with Height is a sultry short tale with a fresh twist on the now played -out vampire story. Meg is a strong, self-assured heroine with bite-literally. She views herself as a protector of women and so has found her just place in the vampire world. I was surprised that Grace didn't seem shocked, upset or scared by Meg's revelations. Still, I enjoyed Grace's conflict with Meg and her own sexuality. Bite with Height is a great story played out in just a short number of pages.
When Meg spots a young woman alone in the Pigalle district of Paris at night, she's intrigued. She has to know her story and find out why she looks so sad and alone. After introducing herself, Meg realizes that she and Grace have a lot in common. But when they decide to go and grab a drink together, they discover a mutual love that could bond them forever.
