Christmas on Wherever Island

Its Christmas time and divorced 37-year-old Marti Bell is on her way home for the holidays. She is not looking forward to spending time with her family, as her mother is as cold as ice and her sisters are going to bother her with relationship questions.

Her current boyfriend, Ben Clawson takes the time to drop her off at the airport. While in the elevator they exchange a heated kiss and a bit of fondling. With a quick and formal goodbye Ben leaves and Marti gets ready for her flight. While waiting she bumps into Cliff Holms, a guy who works in Ben’s department as a freelance photographer. Cliff is not fond of Ben at all and the feeling is mutual on Ben’s part.

Marti catches the first leg of her flight to Chicago, but misses her connecting flight. She calls her mother and gets a tirade about being too late to participate. Instead of continuing onto her destination, Marti exchanges her ticket. She decides she wants to go somewhere with better weather. She leaves the destination up to ticket agent Sam Nichols. He books her onto a flight for Wherever. Will the magic of Wherever Island be enough to cheer up Marti? Will Ben’s appearance on the Island lead to sparks? Will an attraction flare up?

Christmas on Wherever Island is a story about two people who really need the help of magic to set their lives back on track. Ben and Marti both need love and companionship and they finely find that new beginning on Wherever Island.

This was a cute, fun and sweet story. I liked the progression of the attraction between Cliff and Marti as it unfolded slowly. It wasn’t an instant attraction like in many of today’s stories. I very much enjoyed the main characters as well as the side characters. Many of them brought a smile to my lips and warm fuzzies to my heart.

Book Blurb for Christmas on Wherever Island

A magic Santa brings Caribbean Christmas Joy!

Marti Bell is facing the prospect of a very unmerry Christmas. Reluctantly, leaving her married lover she travels toward ice, snow, and judgmental family until a magic Santa sends her to a surprise destination in the warm waters of the Caribbean.

Wherever Island would be a winter paradise except the only place to stay is the beachside cottage of romantic globetrotting photographer Cliff Holmes. Cliff wants to unwind and treat Marti to a little romantic Caribbean Christmas fun but she's determined to stay in the warm ocean and out of hot water.
