"Wolf At The Door" is a wonderful paranormal read. I literally could not put this one down from start to finish. It had me hooked from the beginning and refused to let me go. This story has some great action, suspense, romance, of course, and all with a great paranormal element as well. I loved it. I felt it was well-written and kept the action rolling along. There was no lull in the storyline. I think Gwendolyn is a pretty brave woman. If I was in her situation with these alpha males, I don't think I would hold up under pressure as well as she does. I guess that is what makes her the perfect mate for an alpha male. This is Book 1 and I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Gwendolyn has moved out to a house that she inherited so she can concentrate on writing a book, which is something she has wanted to do for a long time. She has written paranormal articles for tabloids, but she doesn't really believe in the paranormal. She wants to write a paranormal romance book, but she doesn't think that anything paranormal like werewolves or any of the other monsters she writes about are actually real. She inadvertently gets some pictures of real werewolves and it puts her on their radar and they view her as a threat to keeping their secret from the world. Then she meets some of the "monsters."
Jacque and Louis are brothers and werewolves. They can't let Gwen expose their species to the world. Even though she just writes for tabloids, they don't want to take any chances. As if all of this was not enough, Jacque and Louis both find out that Gwen is a potential mate for them so they can't let her go.
This story can stand alone, but is Book One in the series. I personally can't wait until the next one.
Gwendolyn Jones is working on an article about werewolves, not that she believes they exist. But there are people out there who do, like the nervous man who slips her a flash drive with information he claims will prove to the world shifters are out there. Gwen starts questioning just what to believe when two very real werewolves come knocking on her cabin door later that night.
Someone has a flash drive with pictures that could endanger his pack, and alpha Jacque LaForge will do whatever it takes to destroy it. But the something deep inside him ignites when he knocks on the door of that “someone”. He didn’t think he’d find a mate, or that when he did, she’d be human. But now that he’s has found Gwen, he knows he has a fight on his hands to protect her from his former vengeful pack who are out to hurt him by any means necessary.
Each book in the Salvation Pack series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed in any order.
