Maggie is an empathy who can sense emotion. Just when you think you know your hometown, the cosmos has to throw a “gift” your way that changes the way you see everything. –Now you wonder how you never noticed all the little things that were not “quite” right before.
Your boss is a “witch” and you and a few others have a “gift,” so why not throw a cat (black of course) into the mix right? A kitten in this instance, but every witch needs one and can’t leave home without it.
Now Maggie ends up involved in a murder investigation because she can feel certain things from the past and present, and a spirit from the past gets unleashed and decides to hang onto Maggie—and ultimately help her solve the mystery of who killed who and why.
Maggie also has to decide on her love life, the detective or the bad boy? How did life get so complicated?
This book was a real page turner. The only thing I could say was wrong was I want to read more adventures with Maggie and the book just wasn’t long enough. I would really like to see more from this author in this genre, and possibly more for Maggie. This book is a keeper.
Taking a break from her job at Enchantments, Stony Mill's finest mystical antique shop, Maggie O'Neill visits a carnival where she senses some bad spirits. And when a construction worker is suspected of killing a young woman, it's up to Maggie and the N.I.G.H.T.S. ghosthunting team to uncover the dark spiritual energy leaking into their town before it spoils everyone's fun.
