Web of Lies is a paranormal novel about a werewolf pack and the intricacies of the inner workings of what make it work. This story has some great suspense and action. It also has some nice family dynamics, as well as the werewolf dynamics. This story also has the romance aspect that kind of sneaks up on you and the characters. They don't go looking for it, and certainly it is the last thing they need in their lives, but love comes when you least expect it. This story has a great plot to it and it flows smoothly from beginning to end.
Scarlett thinks that what she is doing is going to save her pack even at the cost of another pack. She trusts that her own father would not lie to her, plus she has always wanted his approval as he has always favored her brother over her in everything. This was her chance to prove that she was worthy of his love too. All she had to do was seduce Luke, the second in command of the other pack long enough to keep him busy while their plan went into action. She could do that. He had been lusting after her for a while and he was known as a love them and leave them kind of guy, so she should be able to do the same to him with no problem.
Luke has been training for his role as second in command his whole life and takes this responsibility very seriously. He has tried not to get too close to people and tried not to let anyone get too close to him either. His first priority has to be to his alpha and his pack, always.
Luke and Scarlett are in for some twists and turns along the way and some fun enjoyment for the reader as well. This is a keeper.
In the midst of a struggle for control of his pack, eighteen-year-old werewolf enforcer-to-be Luke Stanton meets the one girl who will destroy everything…or complete him.

The were beauty is harboring a secret so devastating it has the power to destroy him. At the same time, the pack is splintering over a battle for leadership, and Luke’s strength is needed more than ever. It is a time of upheaval, of the destructive power of lies.
