Everything You've Got

Anything & Everything, Book 2

Luke Hamilton is the everyday hero of small town Justice, Nebraska. He opened his restaurant, The Camelot, because it gave him the sense of having accomplished something for the town that he loves. But now he wants something more, something his best friends Sabrina and Marc have together. He knows what he feels for Kat, but he knows Kat's rules and he's always hung back waiting for a sign.

Kat Dayton has been in love with Luke since they were teenagers, but he was always chasing after Sabrina and helping whatever cause had caught his attention. As an adult, she's tried to make herself to be the type of person that she thinks Luke wants, joining his causes, volunteering, etc. But deep down she knows she can't be that person because he doesn't see the woman beneath the armor that she wears.

If you haven't read "Anything You Want" by Erin Nicholas, you may be a tad bit lost when you first start this book. While what happened in that book is not 100% essential to this storyline, it does help to understand where Luke was prior to his revelations about his feelings for Kat.

Luke is a man who once he's made up his mind, jumps into a situation with both feet. He did exactly that with Kat. They shared one hot kiss on his birthday and suddenly he's picking out baby names. While you can tell Luke is one hundred percent sure in his feelings, he does tend to go overboard and not take into consideration that everyone doesn't work at this speed.

For Kat, she's used to hiding behind her armor of black leather, stilettos and tons of makeup, so to have Luke dump all his feelings and dreams at her doorstep is a bit much to take in all at once. Add to that the drama surrounding her regarding a patient she treated and Kat's first instinct is to hide.

Luke and Kat's relationship all comes down to effectively communicating and trusting in one another. That means Kat being honest and telling Luke everything (good, bad and ugly) and Luke taking the time to listen and consider another angle to the discussion. It also means that if Luke tells Kat he wants to do something with her, he means it.

A cute and sexy story that proves that being yourself is the best medicine.

Book Blurb for Everything You've Got

A girl, a guy, a set of handcuffs… What more could happily ever after possibly need?

Luke Hamilton’s requirements for the perfect woman are straightforward: live, work and play in his beloved hometown—and get along with his mother. Dr. Kat Dayton’s got it all. And Luke’s noticed. It’s obvious to him that his long-time friend belongs with him, especially after the world-rocking kiss she lays on him at his birthday party.

While Kat can’t deny she’s imagined a kiss like that—and more—for years, she’s less convinced they’re destined for happily ever after. Still, Luke figures that’s nothing a friendly kidnapping and a three-day road trip won’t fix.

Kat would love to let Luke in, but if he discovers the truth—that committee meetings bore her to tears and she’d rather have a root-canal than go to another potluck—his white-picket-fence dreams will be crushed.

Being stuck in an RV with Luke should be three days of flirtatious fun, but for Kat it’s heavenly hell. The close confines and good old-fashioned lust are making a mockery of her perfect-woman façade, and if he finds out about the mistake that might cost her job—and force her to leave town for good—it’ll take more than a sexy pair of handcuffs to keep him close.

Warning: Contains a man who's willing to do anything for the perfect woman, an RV and surprise road-trip to help him prove it, and a woman who's wondering just what the hell she's gotten into.
