Davenport

Safeword, #3

I must admit that Safeword: Davenport written by Candace Blevins is the first BSDM book that I have had the privilege to review. That being said I must also admit that I fell in love with this book. There were also parts of it that made me laugh. Being a masochist and in love with BDSM I can relate to the characters in this book, especially the main character Dana and her thoughts of confusion.

Safe word: Davenport focuses on the protagonist Dana, a masochist who has recently lost her husband and master to food poisoning while they were on an international vacation. (Now if that just doesn’t put you off of traveling outside of America I don’t know what will.) Dana decides to go on a few dates and decides that vanilla just isn’t for her, and finds herself falling for Zack a Dom who recently lost his wife and twenty-four hour slave when she got hit by a car while they were vacationing in Antigua. But is she ready to submit to another master? or is this all just too much for her to take?

I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in BDSM, Masochism, Sadism, or any other type of kink. I promise that out of all of you who read this book; most of you will not regret it, I know I didn’t. I look forward to her next book Safe word: Davenport and Chiffon.

Book Blurb for Davenport

Dana has never submitted to anyone but her husband -- he trained her, taught her to submit. He's been dead a year and a half though, and she's beginning to consider the possibility of dating again. She sticks to vanilla at first, but quickly realizes she's going to need more. As she's considering the idea of finding someone who would enjoy hurting her without requiring her submission, her life is complicated by a Dom who pushes all of her buttons.

Safeword: Davenport is the first half of Dana's story, it's the personal part of her journey, and has a Happy for Now ending. Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon is scheduled for release August 3, 2012, and will give the rest of her story.

Warning: This title contains graphic language, consensual BDSM, bondage, intense sensory deprivation, extreme electrical play, enemas, and the use of toys including clamps, canes, plugs, cages, paddles, whips, and floggers.
