Sweet Filthy Boy

Wild Seasons, #1

Christina Lauren is a dynamic writing duo! Each book i read by them is better than the last, even if I loved the previous book I always seem to love the next one more. To say I had high expectations for "Sweet Filthy Boy" would be an understatement. They didn't disappoint!

The premise of the story and the beginning of the romantic journey for Ansel and Mia starts off unlike any other romance I've read. I don't want to give it away, because I want to keep this spoiler free. But it is something I've never read before.

Ansel is the hero of "Sweet Filthy Boy", and he really is a sweet filthy boy, which definitely isn't a bad thing! He wants Mia to realize that they are so much more to each other than a chance encounter and that even strangers can have a once-in-a-lifetime love. He works so hard to get Mia to trust him, and he wants her to be comfortable with him. Sometimes that means stepping outside of their norms into a safe space where they can be anyone they want to.

Mia is not the spontaneous type, nor the wild one in her trio of friends. So she risks so much by trusting Ansel and continuing their romance. But her motivation might not come from the right place. While she knows she has feelings for Ansel, it is her urge to run that pushes her to take a chance on their romance. She wants to escape her overbearing father, and an accident from her past that just won't stay in the past.

Overall, I highly recommend "Sweet Filthy Boy" to anyone who is a fan of New Adult, or Contemporary Romance. I cannot wait to read it again, and to see where Christina Lauren takes the series next.

Book Blurb for Sweet Filthy Boy

The New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player starts a brand new story of friends, love, and lust with Book One of the Wild Seasons series.

One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away.
