I was very excited for the opportunity to read Dirty Rowdy Thing by Christina Lauren! This author duo has written some of the best books this year. I thought this would be the book that I might not love. Well, they certainly did not disappoint me with this story. Dirty Rowdy Thing may be my favorite book by them, which I'm sure I've said about their previous books. But I think this one will hold out.
Like Mia and Ansel, Harlow and Finn married in Vegas, but theirs was annulled quickly afterwards. Harlow hasn't seen Finn since her quick 10-hour trip to Canada and she wants to keep it that way. However, she doesn't always get what she wants. Finn shows up in San Diego for business and the opening of Oliver's comic bookstore. When Harlow receives devastating news she wants a distraction and who better to provide that distraction than Finn who will only be there for a short time?
Finn really doesn't want to get involved with Harlow. He doesn't want to do a long-distance relationship like Ansel and Mia and although he's had fun with Harlow he isn't sure that there is much more for them. But when Harlow wants to use him for sex he doesn't turn her down. Besides he has his own things in life he'd like a distraction from.
Too bad being a distraction is only a temporary thing, before it starts to get serious.
Christina Lauren are an amazing duo with brilliant authorial skills. Seriously. You can take that to the bank. I LOVED Dirty Rowdy Thing! It was fast paced and interesting. I was immersed in Harlow and Finn the whole time and I loved the addition of the other characters. There isn't a character in the story that I think could have been excluded. Finn and Harlow made me laugh, cheer, and even cry. Some of the scenes are so full of passion, it was something I'd never experienced before.
I recommend Dirty Rowdy Thing to all fans of New Adult and Romance and especially fans of Christina Lauren. Don't miss out on this gem!
From the New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player, Book Two of the brand-new Wild Seasons series that started with Sweet Filthy Boy—a story of friends, love, and lust.
Despite their rowdy hookups, Harlow and Finn don’t even like each other...which would explain why their marriage lasted only twelve hours. He needs to be in charge and takes whatever he wants. She lives by the Want-something-done? Do-it-yourself mantra. Maybe she’s too similar to the rugged fisherman—or just what he needs.
