This book is my first experience with "Western" Historical Romance, and I have to say if there are more like this book then I need to read more Westerns! The wit, and dialogue between the characters is intriguing and moves the book along. The plot is not overly action-packed and of course there are plenty of steamy moments!
Lori Austin's Beauty and the Bounty Hunter is a marvelous adventure! Cat O'Banyon is a notorious bounty hunter, but it seems there is a lot left for her to learn. Even though she wants to stay unnoticed so that she can eventually catch someone from her past, her name is becoming much more than she ever thought it would. Suddenly, she is forced to work with Alexi Romanov - someone she thought she'd never see again. The connection between Cat and Alexi is electric and really catches the reader's attention. Alexi is mysterious, and not even Cat knows everything about him. Mystery can feed attraction but there is so much more between Cat and Alexi.
Cathleen Chase is no killer—but as Cat O’Banyon, she is a ruthless bounty hunter who always gets her man. Catching one lowlife after another, she continues her search for the only man she really cares to locate: the one whose voice she will never forget; the man who murdered her husband. She'll stop at nothing to find him.
Con artist Alexi Romanov taught Cat every trick she knows. He is a master of deceit, of disguise and of desire. He’s difficult to trust, and even more difficult to resist, but he has news she can’t ignore. The man she’s after has placed a bounty on her head. To get him before he gets her, she’ll have to team up with Alexi again… And just like before, the two of them together are nothing but trouble.
