This fifth installment in the Venomous Mates series adds to the storyline in a really good way. In “The Spur of the Platypus” we have Flex the leader of his people and Prescott who kept his own people alive during a journey. These two are very different men, but they try to figure out what they want and how to make it work.
I liked this story just a well as the first book in the series. I hope the next one is just as good. I wait impatiently for it to come out. I must continue to recommend this series. All of the books have been excellent.
Flex had no idea that when a friend that he presumed dead, would come to his beach, not only with an army, but his mate. Flex’s life is forever changed, when he has to fight his instincts to protect his mate, Prescott, when the anti-venom can stand on his own.
With Mission Territory being taken back, the two will have to travel back, facing dangers, while having to figure out how two opposites can make a mating work as a territory war continues.
