The Christmas Visit
When an Advertising Executive goes home for Christmas to be with his recently widowed father he knows he'll run into his first love, now married Travis Logan. Travis is a sheriff's deputy. He knows that it’s going to be rough seeing Travis again feeling as he does but Travis expresses the same interest as when he was 18. He knows Travis won't leave his wife. But when he finds out what Travis' life is like with his sickly wife he's not sure what to do. Then he finds out the secret Travis' wife has been keeping from everyone.
Will he tell Travis or will he go back to Chicago letting go of the past?
The Christmas Visit was a good read but it could have been a little bit longer giving more background of Travis’s marriage and problems. But I liked how the main character solved the problem in the end and there was a happily ever after all around.
Book Blurb for The Christmas Visit

While struggling to get along with his prickly father, he finds himself becoming involved with the teenage crush he’s never forgotten, now a closeted sheriff's deputy.
The relationship still has the same old fire, but it complicated by the old crush being married. Suddenly, everything takes a backseat solving the mystery at the center of the deputy’s marriage. Will a Christmas visit bring happiness to anyone, or will it end in misery?
