I really enjoyed Solid as Stone. The writing had me reading the book into the night just to find out what was going to happen next. The storyline was well done and flowed smoothly adding to the tension of Stone and Wesley's attraction to each other as well as knowing what the danger would be if they were caught. I will gladly recommend this book and look forward to more stories by this author.
A bit about the story: Dr. Wesley Folcomb has found his father’s notes and formula for experiments that were done years ago to children. Wesley can’t believe what his father had done. Stone takes Wesley hostage and then gains his trust. Wesley will help Stone and his brothers, the subjects of the experiments. As time goes by Wesley becomes more attracted to Stone and he finds Stone also feels for him the same way. They are on the run for their very lives. The agency who had trained Stone and his brothers is after them. Wesley and Stone must negotiate not only their attraction and feelings but the dangers that come at them.
Stone's life is one of ordered control. As a child he was experimented on and turned into something more than human. Now the leader of The Brotherhood, an elite group of soldier assassins, he is given the task of eradicating the man who possibly holds the key to his freedom.
When Dr Wesley Folcomb finds himself targeted by the government group that killed his father, he is forced to seek safety from the very assassin sent to eliminate him.
On the run for their lives, Wesley and Stone grow close but with such different pasts, can they find love? Or will the danger hunting them cause their relationship to crumble before it has a chance to become as solid as stone?(145 pages)
