Matt Archer and Cane Summerfield are back in Shafts of Torchlight. This is the third book so far in the series and it really needs to be read in series.
Christmas in Hellsgate KS for Matt and Cane gets a little hectic when Matt's mother calls to announce she is coming to visit and is bringing her new husband Frye for a visit. For Matt it has been a long while since he's seen his mother, though he's used to her ways of just dropping in unannounced.
Cane senses something isn't right with the new husband and doesn't like him. When Matt’s mother has a heart attack and Matt with Frye take her to Denver, Cane finds out a lot more about Frye than he wants and races to Matt's rescue.
Will Cane make it in time to save Matt or will Matt vanish forever?
I like Matt and Cane's storyline but the villain is really creepy. He creped me out a lot. I liked how it was written and hope that those who read it will like it also. Start with the first book though to get the whole story experience.
It's Christmas night in Hellesgate, Kansas and all the world is bright.
