Nico's Fire is the continuation from Adel's Purr and just as good a read. The attraction between these two men was really hot and intense and made the book very good to read. The introducing of all the new characters lets me know there will be more books to come. I liked this book as much as the first one and I look forward to the next one in the series.
Jude Jamison is an inquisitor aka an investigator for the Pope himself. When Jude is called back to America during the investigation Evan sends with him gargoyle protectors Finton and Skye. Jude looses control and burns the building in which they are hiding, both gargoyles must flee. Jude's fire is seen by Nicolai a Fire Deamon, also his mate. Jude though is afraid of his fire and he's afraid he's becoming a demon. When he meets Nicolai he finds out what he is. He now must learn to control his Fire and use it for good. Finton disappears and Jude, Nico and all their friends must band together to save Finton.
Jude Jamison is a Jesuit Inquisitor, part of the pope's force of special investigators. He suspects his cover has been blown as he's been under constant attack. Without the gargoyles his friend Evan sent along as his guardians, and a strange ability to start fires, he'd already be dead.
Nicolai sees a gargoyle circling a smoldering building. He investigates the rare creature and is totally unprepared for the discovery of his human mate, lying amid the rubble. After waiting two millennia to find his mate, fate must be laughing. A human will never survive in his world. Yet he's unable to leave the beautiful man behind.
Together can the two find a way to survive? Is this love's first fire?
