When Ron looks out of his restaurant window he sees an absolutely gorgeous man whom he invites in for a drink. Jean-Claude is a Frenchman exiled to America. He risks it all to start a relationship with Ron.
One night when Ron is waiting for Jean-Claude at the restaurant he feels that Jean-Claude is in trouble and he finds him in an alley with a steak through his chest. Jean-Claude tells Ron who he really is and that they are both in danger now.
Will a Madman end their relationship or will they defeat the danger?
I liked My Vampire Lover. Because of the change in perspective from Ron to Jean-Claude I was a bit confused at first. As the story progressed it redeemed itself and overall turned out to be an enjoyable read.
Ron is living a ho-hum life in West Hollywood when he meets Jean-Claude, an enigmatic Frenchman with some mysterious habits.
Finding himself becoming more and more attracted to Jean-Claude and loving the sexual relatiosnhip they very quickly indulge in, Ron is nevertheless puzzled by Jean-Claude's reticence and, at times, odd behaviour.
When he finds Jean-Claude lying in a back alley stabbed through the chest, the secret is revealed - and Ron's life is changed forever.
