FBI agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett are pulled together for an assignment in New York City. It's to help solve a series of murders. The two agents couldn't be more different. Special Agent Ty Grady has just been pulled off an undercover assignment and Special Agent Zane Garrett is trying to live down a reputation with the FBI.
When they are sent to New York City though they find they must learn to work together. They have to solve the murders or they might end up on the murderers list of victims. The obstacle they are facing is the lack of an MO for the killer. He seems to be one step ahead of Ty and Zane. When both men are injured by the killer they know that their time is running short to apprehend the killer.
Can Ty and Zane learn about team work or will the killer take both men out?
Cut and Run is a well done story, but a little rough in the telling. In the end it's a very good read. The mysterious killer had me trying to figure out who and why and what was his MO. The attraction between the two men is kinda hot and intense. It added to the story very well. I would recommend this one for a good read to those who like a good murder mystery.
A series of murders in New York City has stymied the police and FBI alike, and they suspect the culprit is a single killer sending an indecipherable message. But when the two federal agents assigned to the investigation are taken out, the FBI takes a more personal interest in the case.
Special Agent Ty Grady is pulled out of undercover work after his case blows up in his face. He's cocky, abrasive, and indisputably the best at what he does. But when he's paired with Special Agent Zane Garrett, it's hate at first sight. Garrett is the perfect image of an agent: serious, sober, and focused, which makes their partnership a classic cliché: total opposites, good cop-bad cop, the odd couple. They both know immediately that their partnership will pose more of an obstacle than the lack of evidence left by the murderer.
Practically before their special assignment starts, the murderer strikes again – this time at them. Now on the run, trying to track down a man who has focused on killing his pursuers, Grady and Garrett will have to figure out how to work together before they become two more notches in the murderer's knife.
