Planning the special Christmas for his lover was all Brett Masters wanted to do for their getaway. But when he finds out that his lover had been cheating on him for months Brett tries to get a refund so he can leave early to visit his family. When the resort won't give him a refund he decides to take the cabin anyway. He thinks that this will be the worst Christmas ever. That is until he meets Devyn and his Christmas starts looking up. Though Brett is still hurting form his betrayal by his ex he thinks that maybe Devyn can help with his recovery.
A Special Christmas was OK. I do recommend this for the storyline of losing your love and finding someone new and unexpected. That was sweet. The one thing I did enjoy was Brett's whining about his woes so much. He just needed to move on to something better. Luckily he was able to do that by the end.
