"The Alpha’s Forbidden Mate" is the second book in the Blood Moon Lynx Series.
Arizona Collins is planning on mating lawyer and human Gillian Wallis. While he doesn’t hold much credence to the legend or curse as it were for his kind to mate with humans, some of the others do, especially the Jaguars in the next village.
But Gillian has no problem telling it like it is, giving her opinion, or facing down her opposition. (Don’t treat her badly, it won’t go well for you later.) As Arizona, Gillian and their friends Canyon and Fiera (The Alpha’s Taboo Mate) try to figure out who is vandalizing their properties and threatening Gillian, their best friend Stone is becoming strangely absent. He refuses to confide in his best friends. Then an old problem from the jaguar village may put Arizona’s family in jeopardy.
So, yes, I loved the book.
Even though male lynx shifter Arizona Collins knows choosing a human as a mate comes with complications, one look into Gillian Wallis’s eyes and he knows she is his mate. As he and Gillian adjust to mated life in their remote village, it’s not her humanness that gives them grief. It’s one of Arizona’s best friends, Stone, who first pulls away and then disappears.
Gillian knew that taking Arizona as her mate would plunge her into a world law school never prepared her for, but no man ever made her feel the way Arizona does. She loves him with a passion she didn’t know was inside her. But when he and Canyon, another best friend, finally discover where and with whom Stone has been hiding, a threat from a neighboring village comes with it. A threat that has Arizona racing against time to save his mate.
