"Shadowed" is the fourth book in April Zyon’s Warriors Of Light series, and my how time does fly! This has been an utterly fantastic series and I will be very sad to see it end. The good news, is that I know April will come up with more incredible stories and series ideas to keep us all entertained.
Sophia Ann Duffy was abused by her own father until she was 14, then went to live in the foster system. She, like the other Vestal Virgins, has her own abilities, and one of hers, is that she’s dreamed all about the man who would be hers.
But, James Hickcock avoids Sophia like the plague for the first couple of weeks. But when he works through his big issue, sparks fly!
Loved the connection between these two. As always, it’s fast, and it’s deep. The length of the book doesn’t give us a whole lot of time to draw things out, but it’s still a great story. I’ll always vote for longer, but the concept just makes up for it all!
The moment Sophia met him, she knew life would never be the same. She’s seen him in her dreams for years and knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that somehow, across space and time, they’re fated for one another. But when their lives collide, he can’t get away from her fast enough.
Gunslinger James Butler “Wild Bill” Hickok has always lived by how fast he can draw his weapon. He understands things like statistics, odds, and where the sun sits in the sky. But the pull of one woman on his heart gives him more fear than a bullet with his name on it.
They have only one shot at forever. Danger is coming their way, and James is running out of time to make the right call or risk losing Sophia forever.
This is a previously published work. It has been revised and edited for Evernight Publishing.
