Lover At Last

Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11

At last, the story fans of Qhuinn and Blay have been waiting for! Qhuinn, the disavowed son of no one, has long loved Blaylock, Black Dagger Warrior, and now is currently seeing his cousin, council to the king, Saxton. But unbeknownst to Qhuinn, all is not well between Sax and Blay, and after years of Blay and Qhuinn dancing around each other, they finally get together in a furniture breaking, passion filled night. But Qhuinn's old fears and other issues get in the way of them having their HEA. Can they ever come together?

The Lessers have moved into a new era in their war against the vampires. The Band of Bastards and their leader Xcor start to make their move against Wrath. Xcor is planning on dethroning Wrath and taking over the Black Dagger Brotherhood. They just might have the ammunition to do it.

Lover at Last marks the first book in the series with a Male/Male pairing and does a fairly good job at it. It also does a great job at interspersing other sideline stories in and introducing us to some new characters, and changing the course of lives, particularly Trez's. I for one was happy because Vishous appeared on a fairly regular basis, though Jane did not. As usual, a great outing for Ward. This wasn’t my favorite book in the series, but a keeper for sure!
