As you start the book, Zoe is shaken, shaky, and not at all what you expect from one of Ms. Leigh's leading ladies. Agreeably, this soon changes and you are swept along with Zoe's quest to make the best of her circumstances. Her new neighbors, Conn and Marcel, are endearing, strong heroes yet still have their moments of doubt as to whether they will be able to win Zoe. When past comes back to disrupt Serenity the reader cannot be certain whether anyone will have a happy ending.
I found the characters to be charming, the story vastly appealing, and when Conn, Marcel and Zoe get together it was scorching! The suspense adds just enough spice of another sort to keep you wanting to find out what happens next. I highly recommend adding this to your library.
Zoe Daniels moved to the city, anxious to pursue her career and perhaps find a man to love her for who she is. When she finds out that her lover, the man she thought she'd spend the rest of her life with, is already married she leaves him and the city far behind. But she doesn't leave alone--she's pregnant with her ex's child.
Enthralled with the quiet beauty that moved in across the hall from them, best friends Marcel Carson and Conn Brady watch her from afar. Both males want her for their mate and are just biding their time to make her their own. When her ex shows up in town, they know they can't afford to wait any longer to claim her as their mate.
Will she listen to them when they tell her that not only are they shifters, but they want to claim her as their mate or will her fear that she's making another mistake getting involved with them blind her to the danger they believe her ex has in store for her?
