The title, Wicked Hot, says it all. This is one wickedly hot read. Charlene Teglia has introduced us to a hot new alpha male. Move over vampire guys, step aside werewolf men, enter the Nephilim. These hot studs are half human, half angel and all sex appeal and they are supposed to be extinct.
No one's heard anything about the Nephilim in quite awhile, like maybe centuries. Now all the sudden the devil is all riled up because Eli, a Nephilim is banishing his demons into nothingness. So what does old Nick do? He sends in his most irresistible demon, Edana the succubus. Her track record is impeccable, she always arouses lust in her targets and brings the souls home to the devil. But how is she supposed to arouse lust in a creature she knows nothing about. Rumor has it the Nephilim are big, giants among men, and they have the power to back it up along with having magically abilities. So far every demon Nick has sent Eli's way has been banished into nonexistence.
Eli lives out in the middle of nowhere with his brother, Dalen. Eli is the warrior and Dalen is the teacher. They always come in pairs. Edana ends up with a two for one deal. Too bad she can't seem to arouse any lust in either of them. Even though they got her motor running, poor thing is in overdrive and she's going to overheat. Too bad they seem immune to her charms. She feels like a failure and the fact that she's a cosmic joke comes back to haunt her. Poor Edana, the sexless succubus, died a virgin and now even as a succubus with extensive knowledge of every possible sexual act out there remains untouched and un-penetrated because no man can control his lust long enough to not lose his soul. Until now that is. The Nephilim can achieve major amounts of sexual arousal and satisfaction while not losing control of their lust. Is Edana going to be able to finally have her cake and eat it, too? Will she get what she wants and so desperately needs and still succeed on the devil's mission or will she be the one to lose? Even if she wins will she still lose? What about her out clause? Does she dare hope for more than being a soulless succubus?
Wicked Hot is a wild sex romp from beginning to end. I've never read anything so hot and steamy.times two. Oh, to be a wicked succubus stuck in a house with two horny Nephilim. Where do I sign up? Charlene Teglia has created an interesting and highly imaginative world of angels and demons locked in the constant battle between good and evil where the one of the most painful things the devil can do to the succubus is torture her with the Barry Manilow song, Mandy (I am so there with you Edana, I HATE that song, too!) Charlene's vision of angels and demons is something completely new that I haven't read in any other book. I loved it.
Eli is a little overly Alpha for my taste, but it is so hot to fantasize about a man that can take charge and make you just want to give him complete control. Of course in real life that might get a little old fast. But who needs real life in their sizzling fantasies? Not me. That's why I love to read. And this book is a keeper. Hot, hot, hot summer read. So wickedly hot you'll need to sit in front of the air conditioner while reading this one so you don't overheat.
Special Notes: If you don't like over the top explicit sex scenes, sit this one out because this one is super explicit from start to finish.
