The last thing Princess Devon wants is to be forced into a marriage with her father's enemy. After she awakens one night to find a mysterious man named Galladar in her bedroom Devon is left with only two options - save her kingdom or follow her heart.
The writing style of Rebecca York is strong and the vividness as well as the descriptive wording made it easy to envision what was taking place between the characters. I particularly liked the medieval setting and how the author wove elements of fantasy into the plot. I was pleased with the pace of Dark Magic, the action and romance happened at the exact right moment. The ending left me satisfied and a forever fan of Rebecca York.
Marrying her father's barbaric enemy for political gain is not the future that Princess Devon imagines for herself. She prefers escaping into the world of magic and legend described in books—books that suggest just how a princess could take the safety of a kingdom into her own hands.
