Silence of the Jams

A Down South Café Mystery, #2

Author Gayle Leeson brings us the second entry in her Down South Café series. Amy Flowers is busy making pies and cakes for the Independence Day holiday. Enter George Lincoln, who is still trying to buy her café so her can tear it down and build a B&B. When George collapses while eating at the café everyone assumes it’s a heart attack – until the autopsy reveals poison! The finger of suspicion, naturally points to Amy!

Gayle Leeson has an easy style of writing which I thoroughly enjoyed. The story is well-written with a comfortable tone and a nice even pacing that quickly became a page turner for me! The story has a charismatic cast of characters, engaging dialogue and that small-town feel that made it a very enjoyable read! Looking forward to #3! – ROCCO LOTEMPIO
