The “Dream Club” is back for their third adventure. This time it’s a reclusive heiress , Abigail Marchand, who issues an invitation to Taylor and Ali to lunch at her mansion, Beaux Reeves. Taylor and Ali are hoping for an invitation to join the distinguished Magnolia Society, but what they get is Abigail’s concern over a recent dream that she believes is a harbinger of a death – hers. And when Abigail is found dead the next day, supposedly from taking a header down a flight of stairs, the Dream Club knows that they need to catch a killer before it turns into a real nightmare.
I’m a huge fan of Mary Kennedy’s writing. She’s created a great cast of characters in this series, and who doesn’t love the premise of a “dream club”. Kennedy is also adept at skillfully weaving clues to the solution of the mystery through the story. I found myself disappointed when I turned the last page, and now I’m eager to see what further adventures Kennedy can come up with! Definite four stars! _ ROCCO LOTEMPIO
An elderly Southern heiress’s nightmare becomes a real case of murder in the latest Dream Club Mystery from the national bestselling author of Dream a Little Scream.
When Abigail Marchand, Savannah’s famously reclusive heiress, invites the Dream Club ladies to lunch at her Beaux Reeves mansion, Taylor and Ali hope for an invitation to join the distinguished Magnolia Society. But Abigail has a more pressing concern: a recent dream that seems to foretell her death.
Taylor reassures Abigail that there are many ways to interpret a dream, but at the next meeting of the Dream Club, their discussion is cut short by a call from Detective Sam Stiles. She's at Abigail's mansion, where the elderly woman appears to have been pushed to her death down a flight of stairs. Now Taylor, Ali, and the Dream Club need to catch a killer before someone else is laid to rest.
