Wolf with Benefits

This is the eighth installment of Ms. Laurenston's Pride series. I have been a big fan of Ms. Laurenston since the first book I read by her. The witty banter between the characters is great. Ms. Laurenston brings back familiar characters from older books and add new ones to the mix. Any time I want a good laugh I just pick up any of Ms. Laurenston's books. These are books I can and do read over and over again and again.

Toni Jean-Louis Parker (oldest daughter of Jackie, Irene's best friend from Miss Congeniality) is an average she-jackal in a family of geniuses. All of her younger siblings are certified genius and most of them are self-centered. Toni gets a chance at a job as the Team Travel and Promotions for the local sifter only hockey team the Carnivores. Much to her younger siblings dismay she takes the job but when it seems her family can't get along without her she thinks about leaving the job. But she wants more out of her life then to be babysitter and bodyguard for her brothers and sisters. She is sent to Russia to negotiation a game between the Russian bears and the Carnivores she is pushed to go.

Ricky Lee Reed moved from Tennessee to New York to join up with his cousin's, Bobby Ray, pack and work for him at Llewellyn Security. He first runs into Toni at the sports complex and he is drawn to her. Even when one after another of Toni's siblings ask him the big question "Are you my daddy?" He finally figures out that is how she makes unwanted male attention go away. When he gets the chance to go with her to Russia to act as her bodyguard he jumps at the chance to get closer to Toni.
