Hunting Eve

Eve Duncan - Spring Trilogy, #2

Hunting Eve is the second installment in Ms. Johansen's spring trilogy set in the Eve Duncan series. This is a wonderful book. It picks up where the last one (Taking Eve) left off. Ms. Johansen brings back old friends from her other books to help search for Eve. I have followed Eve Duncan series from the first book and have never been disappointed in any of them. You will be hooked from the first word until the last. The final book in this trilogy, Silencing Eve, will be out October 22.

Eve Duncan has managed to escape from Jim Doane. Doane kidnapped Eve to force her to reconstruct the skull of his son, Kevin. Kevin was a serial child killer and when the system failed to put him away he was killed by an assassin. Now Doane wants to draw the assassin to him by using Eve. Doane found out that the assassin, Lee Zander, is Eve's father. He plans that once Eve finishes Kevin's skull, he will use her as bait to draw her father to him. The more of Kevin's skull that she completes, the more evil Eve can feel from it and the crazier Doane gets.

Joe calls in help from Dr. Kendra Michaels (Close your Eyes). She uses her unique abilities, from spending the first 22 years of her life blind, to examine Doane's car. From the clues she is able to figure out that his car had been in the mountains of Colorado. Kendra and Margaret take off for Colorado. Jane teams up with Mark Trever and Seth Caleb to follow their own clues which lead them to same place as Kendra. Will they make it in time to save Eve before Doane catches up to her?
