Jacquelyn Frank writes Hunter under her pen name JAX. In this story there is a battle between a coven of good witches and a coven of warlocks. This was such a good story and I really hope to see more of this world.
Tatyana Petrove is the thirteenth child of a family of thirteen. She loves all of her family but has always been closer to her brother, Dimitre. Dimitre is the seventh child. Tatyana decides to find out what is going on with her brother when he starts to blow off family events. Which is something he has never done before. He has a new girlfriend and lives with her. Tatyana arrives at the house where he lives, but he is not there. But she does find more than what she bargained for.
After ten long years away Hunter is called back to the coven. He left after the death of one of the coven members who he was dating. He blames himself for her death because he was unable to get to her in time to save her.
A coven of warlocks have attacked two of his coven members and he is called home to help protect the coven. Hunter never expected to find someone like Tatyana. He feels drawn to her in a way he has never felt before. With the warlocks attacking Hunter must not only protect his coven mates but also Tatyana.
This is a great start to a fabulous series. I’m looking forward to the next book and I’m sure other readers will be as well.
This can't be happening to her. A random breakdown, an isolated mountain road, a seemingly chance meeting with a hotter-than-hot stranger. Tatyana is a modern gal who can handle any crisis, but before she knows what's hit her, she's sensing a hideous threat, not to her but to this man who draws her like a moth to a flame. Hunter.
"I know things . . . I saw it."
When the attack comes, she is his protection from a diabolical enemy, even as he initiates her into a startling world of magic, sorcery, and sensuality. For in a moment of terrifying danger a spark has been struck, and neither can escape the erotic fire to come.
