Welcome to the Neighborhood

Midnight Garden #1

In a whirlwind courtship between a vampire and a werewolf drastic measures were taken to get Alexi to open up and trust. Greg found the perfect way for that to happen, retrieving a stolen item from a group of werewolves.

Mary Abshire had a new idea for cross species relationships that prove that love can conquer all. Alexi is a strong willed woman not wanting any help from a man. I felt for her plight all through the story and I was rooting for Greg to break down all her walls and give love a chance. Once I started reading I couldn't stop and was enchanted with how you learned a little more about Alexi and what she went through. Alexi's past made her throw up walls that weren't needed and made me want to walk up to her and say, “What are you doing, you have this incredible man that wants you and you keep running away!” Greg was the true hero of the story, he did everything he could to get Alexi out of her shell and now she's proclaiming love!

Alexi's only problem is that she's had one too many bad experiences and she won't open herself up, that caused a lot of downfall in her character development, but showed promise on how to make her stronger.
