I've been slowly enjoying Virginia Kantra's children of the sea series. Some more than others. Immortal Sea is one that I truly enjoyed. Book 4 brings us Morgan, the most arrogant of the finfolk if possible. He is the twin brother to the heroine in one of Ms. Kantra's short novellas. Morgan met Elizabeth for one brief night while she was having her last "fun" trip before starting med school. As typical of those of the sea, he thought nothing of that one nightstand and went on with his life. Elizabeth however was left with a child from their union. Zack is a teen in turmoil as he begins to exhibit signs of his affinity with the sea inherited from his true father.
Fast-forward and Morgan and Elizabeth run into each other at a wedding on Worlds End. Morgan recognizes something in Zack that is more than what it seems. While he tries to reach out and help the child he never knew of, he feels himself falling for Elizabeth. It never crossed this tough hero's mind that he would fall for a lowly human. This is a story of love and romance as well as a building of trust among the characters involved. While it isn't full of action and guns that are flooding the market, it does bear its own unique appeal. I love Kantra as an author and discovered her reading silhouette years ago. Her series on the MacNeil brothers is a personal favorite and I highly recommend if you haven't had the opportunity to read
