When Liv was thirteen something happened to her that changed her life forever. Now nothing feels right unless she is in the woods surrounding her house or with her boyfriend Cory. But she must hide both because of the strange occurrences and her parents' dislike of Cory because of his race. Even though Liv knows that strange things happen in the woods, she continues to sneak off into the woods, mainly to meet up with her boyfriend. She must now find how her life is connected with the wolves outside her house, the deaths in the woods, and how this all affects her.
I've always enjoyed reading Francesca Lia Block's books and this was one of my favorites so far. "The Frenzy" is filled with werewolves, the paranormal, and lots of action so it was a great read. The mother-daughter interactions were one of my favorite things about this book. Those who are fans of this author will enjoy this book plus it will be a treat for first time readers.
