The Shining Ones have new plans for Branwen. With new friends at her side, she must go to free the powerful Iwan. Now with an uneasy treaty, Branwen must work with her old mentor to get important things from the Saxons. How can Branwen succeed in her seemingly impossible mission? But she refuses to give up, no matter what the cost.
This is another great novel by Frewin Jones in the Warrior Princess series. "The Emerald Flame" was filled with intrigue and drama, guaranteed to keep you guessing to the very end. I recommend reading the first two books in the series, as it deepens your understanding of the back plot for this book. I was unable to put this book down once I started it, until I had finished the final exciting page. Eagerly awaiting the next book in this series, anticipating what happens next to Branwen and her friends. Frewin Jones is a must read author for anyone who enjoys historical adventure novels, Old World gods, and girls who kick butt.
The Emerald Flame of her people.
Branwen has finally accepted that the Shining Ones have chosen her to save her country from the Saxon invaders. But the next stage in her journey includes a seemingly impossible mission, and the path before her is filled with darkness and danger. Branwen is pushed to the brink of disaster, and with each step she takes, she is being pulled farther from the life she once knew—the life she still desperately misses.
Guided by the spirits, with both her fearless friend Rhodri and the dashing, sometimes maddening Iwan by her side, Branwen must overcome terrifying odds if she is to succeed in her quest. But a true Warrior Princess won't back down . . . even when an old enemy returns.
