For the moment there is peace in the FAYZ, aka, Perdido Beach. But all that changes soon enough. Little Petie is sick and unconscious, and kid after kid is getting sick with a flu that kills them at an alarming rate. Meanwhile there is a mutated monster insect created by the Darkness that infects its victims by leaving them dying a slow and agonizing death as the insect's larvae eats them from the inside out. At last The Darkness has found its way into the mind of the Nemesis. How will the kids of Perdido Beach survive with all of this going on? Will Kane and Sam ever be able to work together to save them all? And in the end, who will survive?
I have read all of the outstanding Gone novels by Michael Grant, so I was extremely excited to pick up his newest novel "Plague". I was unable to put it down until I had finished the final page, but now I am anxiously awaiting the next in the series. This series contains engrossing characters, intriguing plot twists and tons and tons of action. I recommend this newest entry to all the Gone fans out there, and anyone who enjoys reading a world where only kids are left, this is a definite must read. Plague is a cool novel that will keep you guessing till you finish the final heart stopping page.
The fourth page-turning book in the New York Times Bestselling GONE series.
