Evie works for an agency that helps find and control the paranormal. She has been there since she was a child. She has a very unique gift, all paranormal beings have a glamour, but she can see through them. After meeting a strange boy named Lend, Evie begins to rethink her whole life. Evie also tries to find out what Lend really is. Will Evie be able to figure out what is attacking the paranormal, if she can trust all she believes in, or if it has all been just one big lie? Also will she succeed in her fight to have Lend at her side? She has lots to do for a girl who must deal with all of this while dealing with a possessive faerie on her back.
"Paranormalcy" by Kiersten White was an outstanding book. The paranormal has always been one of my favorite subjects so this was right up my alley. What book wouldn't be great with well written story line, werewolves, faeries, vampires and lots of other magical creatures thrown in? This was an exciting page-turning read, that would be a welcome addition to most bookshelves.
Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.
But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.
So much for normal.
