Eden meets Az at the beach when he comes over with a bad pick-up line but she falls for him anyway. But Az is different from the other boys she knows, he is an angel. Also, there is something different about Eden, she is a sider, destined to commit suicide. Az has stopped Eden from suicide and Eden has stopped Az from falling. But in a dramatic twist of events, Eden dies and comes back as a sider, but a special sider. She has the unique power to kill supposedly immortal siders. Why is she different from the others? And why can't she remember how she died?
"A Touch Mortal" was an unique and interesting read. Leah Clifford has created a book that moves from dramatic event to dramatic event, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat with its suspenseful and intriguing plot. This had lots of twists and turns that you will not see coming, with a cliffhanger ending that leaves you eagerly awaiting the next book. This was a welcome addition to my bookshelf that I recommend to everyone.
Death isn't what Eden expected. Where the hell is her release? Her quiet ending? Not that Eden remembers the details of her final hours, but one thing is for sure--becoming a sider, trapped between life and death, was definitely not part of the plan...
For Eden, nothing seems to be coming easy. There's no way of telling what will happen when her fingertips graze human skin. The power that builds inside her, Touch, strips away morals and logic.
Some people only feel a high; others are overcome by their darkest thoughts.
But honestly there's not much time for her to worry about her effect on mere mortals. She's got her own drama. Somehow, word's gotten around that her Touch can kill her own kind. With desperate siders already camping out on her doorstep, the last thing Eden needs is the rumor to spread. Especially since it's true...
A TOUCH MORTAL is the first of a planned trilogy.
