Stress Relief

Line: Taboo

After taking the time to break in a Dom who knew her inside and out, Meg can’t believe it when she’s dumped by Jack via e-mail. He’s taken on the job of a lifetime and feels Meg has already outgrown him anyway.   Meg wouldn’t exactly call Jack her lover, and their association was based strictly on a dominant and submissive relationship. And while he knows things are over, Jack does advise Meg that he’ll e-mail her some suggestions for finding a new dom when he has a spare moment.
Two days later, Meg gets a rather terse letter from Rand Authur offering his services as a Dom if she wants. In his correspondence, Rand’s thoughts on BDSM are in line with hers, but he also makes it quite clear that he’s not looking for romance or commitment. Nervous, but also intrigued, Meg agrees to a meeting in a local ice cream parlor. Both admit to an immediate attraction and the dialogue between them is empowering and interesting. Each clearly has something the other needs in how to relieve stress.
Rand knows that Meg expects the same treatment she received from her previous Dom, but he is totally different in his approach. He is intent on keeping her on her toes and guessing all the time; wondering what will come next and he introduces her to some out of the ordinary game play to ensure that happens.
For those into the BDSM lifestyle, you’ll get a very good picture of how a submissive needs to be dominated, yet still wonders if she’s behaving properly. Rand is quite intense in his approach, and while I’m not sure that I really liked him, something about this man’s personality simply oozed with his ability to control, and I found myself strangely fascinated. Meg is surprised, anxious and finally turned on as she understands that Rand wants her total submission. I had mixed emotions about the plot of the story, but give kudos to Ms. Hunt for winning me over. While some may find a few things objectionable, the sex scenes are nonetheless vigorous, wickedly erotic and exciting. And if you’re looking for a traditional romance, you won’t find it here, but there is a phenomenal exchange of power. The question is whether or not Rand and Meg are ready to take the relationship to the next level, finding true love? Once you finish reading, I guarantee you’ll never look at how to handle Stress Relief the same way ever again!
