Out of the Light, Into the Shadows

It’s only been six (6) months, but Mercy Jardine is already hopelessly in love with Wyatt Reyes. Every time he’s around she gets weak in the knees and knows she wants to spend the rest of her life with him. Having a family with Wyatt would be the best thing that’s ever happened to her, and she can’t wait to tell him about the baby that’s due soon.
Construction owner Wyatt Reyes is wonderfully sexy and ready to admit his feelings of love to Mercy. While he adores everything about this fantastic woman and wants her to move in, the tragedy of his youth convinces him that marriage and a family is simply not for him. This couple clearly has opposing views on commitment and family.  Mercy’s brother Brax has his own ideas about the relationship and that could make things even more complicated.
When Katie Stolin lived in Russia years ago, she believes she was betrayed by the man of her dreams, causing the death of her entire family. While saved due to the quick thinking of their loyal guard who turned them into vampires, Katie and her younger brother Peter are very resentful. Living in Sin City now, Katie is shocked when Michael shows up to convince her of his love.
Finding Katie after searching for a long time, Michael St. Markov can’t believe that she thinks he’s responsible for the loss of her family. He pulls out all the stops to convince her that she’s wrong. McCarthy does a good job presenting a new tale of vampire love with characters that are wonderfully endearing.
Working for Braxton Jardine for the past 5 years, Cameo Smithson is the ultimate executive assistant, perfect in every way.   Fiercely attracted, but refusing to act on her desires, Cameo has no idea there’s something quite unique about Brax. His swagger is simply addictive. Wealthy and sinfully gorgeous, Brax fights evil in an unusual way; someone wants revenge and the best way to get to Brax is by hurting someone close.
The title is right on target and the sex steamy and blistering hot in this paranormal tale of suspense and mystery. Get up close and personal with Brax and Cameo to find out all of their secrets.
During an investigation, Detective Jordan Waters encounters hunky bodyguard, Nick Stolin during a case while interviewing his son, Peter. Attracted to each other, it isn’t long before Jordan begins to feel more. While Nick is sexy and unbelievably good in bed, there’s something about him she can’t quite put her finger on. In addition, Nick’s son Peter seems a little strange, too. Trying to focus on the case, and wondering how to handle this new relationship, things heat up as the mystery of who Nick actually is deepens. This quirky romance will keep you guessing and wanting to join in the fun.
A fan of Lori Foster who moonlights in the paranormal world as L.L. Foster and Erin McCarthy with her feisty and funny tales of vampire love, it was certainly great to see these two (2) phenomenal authors pool their talents for such an awesome and delightfully decadent read. If you enjoy sensual romance that heats up your heart, you can’t go wrong with the anthology Out of the Light, Into the Shadows.
